City of Banning Focused
EIR
for Forecast and Empire Homes
Michael
Brandman Associates is working with Forecast Homes and Empire
Homes to prepare a Focused Environmental Impact Report for
449 single-family residential dwelling units on a 174.2-acre
site located in the City of Banning, in northwestern Riverside
County. The project will propose an amendment to the General
Plan Circulation Element, include extensions of adjacent surrounding
roadways, south of Interstate 10, and construction of bridges
over three natural drainage routes. The proposed development
will house approximately 1,285 residents single- and two-
story residential units.
This
project included working with several regulatory agencies
such as United States Fish and Wildlife Service, U.S. Army
Corps of Engineers, Colorado Regional Water Quality Control
Board and the California Department of Fish and Game to properly
assess the impact of increased population on the natural community.
Construction is planned for completion by the summer of 2005.
