Dave Mitchell Presents at 2011 American Planning Association, California Chapter Annual Conference
Dave Mitchell, MBA's Fresno Branch Manager and Air Quality Services Manager, with other industry leaders, presented guidance on how to prepare a community baseline greenhouse gas inventory for a greenhouse gas reduction plan. The presentation summarized the findings of the Association of Environmental Professional's white paper, which MBA co-authored.
Macenski Selected as Chair of the State Association of Environmental Professionals Conference
Sacramento Branch Manager Trevor Macenski was selected to be the State Association of Environmental Professionals Conference Chair for 2012. Trevor has been a local Chapter President and has presented at a number of previous conferences. More information on the conference may be found at http://www.califaep.org/.
Brandman Installed as Director of Orange County Business Council
Dr. Michael Brandman was recently installed as a Director of the Orange County Business Council and the Co-Chair of the Workforce Housing Committee. Dr. Brandman currently serves on the boards of a number of professional organizations.
Mitchell Leads Association of Environmental Planners Central Valley Workshop
Dave Mitchell, MBA's Fresno Branch Manager and Air Quality Services Manager, co-lead a panel presentation addressing climate change and CEQA for the Association of Environmental Professionals Spring Advanced CEQA Workshop in Central California. The event, held May 20th in Fresno included a CEQA case law and legislative update and climate change sessions. Dave co-lead a session that covered amendments to the current CEQA guidelines, thresholds for Greenhouse Gas Emissions, and ramifications for General Plans which do not address Greenhouse Gas Emissions. The workshop also included a session entitled, "Addressing Climate Change and New Guidelines" where he presented guidance to attendees on preparing climate change/greenhouse gas sections in environmental documents.
